Lipoic Acid, a strong antioxidant with a double lipophilic and hydrophilic action limits the oxidation and protects the sensitive structures of the body that are most affected. Carnitine is a blocker of glycosylation and reduces the formation of AGE. Studies reveal that the cells of the diabetics have lower levels of Carnitine and are the same levels of people of older age.
