Lutein and zeaxanthin are yellow pigments found in high concentrations in green vegetables such as spinach, broccoli and kale. Zeaxanthin is found in corn and egg yolks. Lutein and zeaxanthin form the so-called "yellow spot" (macula lutea) in the retina.
OMEGA-3 FATTY ACIDS DHA AND EPA
Docosahexaenoic acid (DHA) and eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA) are two polyunsaturated fatty acids that belong to the group of omega-3 fatty acids. DHA and EPA can be produced by the organism itself, but other omega-3 fatty acids are required as precursors. It can therefore be valuable to get DHA and EPA from the diet when needed.
Good sources of DHA and EPA are high-fat fish such as tuna, salmon and herring. DHA is enriched in the sensory cells of the retina. It helps maintain normal vision. The positive effect occurs with a daily intake of 250 mg DHA.
VINE EXTRACT (VITIS VINIFERA) with 5% RESVERATROL
Resveratrol is found in certain fruits, especially dark grapes and red wine.
Recommended daily dose: Take
2 capsules daily with a glass of water during a meal.
