DESCRIPTION
Chlorhexidine concentration 0.05 percent: Perio plus Balance is the ideal mouthwash for long-term use and for motor impairments – to reduce the risk of caries and gingivitis.

Active substances
- Chlorhexidine digluconate 0.05 % for proven chemical control of bacteria
- Citrox®/P complex: natural extract of bitter orange for antibacterial effect and the amino acid polylysine to support long-term effects
- Sodium fluoride for additional prevention of tooth decay during long-term use
- PVP-VA for extra strong protective film on mucosa and teeth
- Alcohol-free
Indications for use
- Rinse undiluted 10 ml for 60 seconds.
- In the morning and evening, up to 6 months - or ask your dentist.
- Note: For oral use only. Do not swallow.
- Keep out of reach of children.
CHX plus Natural
Dentistry has been prescribing chlorhexidine for almost seventy years, and for good reason: it works. In addition to CHX digluconate, Perio plus contains natural bioflavonoids extracted from the bitter orange (Citrus aurantium amara): Citrox®.
This is the Citrox®/P complex
Citrox® comes directly from nature: it is a natural bioflavonoid extract from bitter orange (Citrus aurantium amara) and is effective against bacteria, even viruses and fungi. To ensure that it adheres well to teeth, gums and oral mucosa for a long-term effect, it is combined with the amino acid polylysine, which is also natural: to form the Citrox®/P complex.
Good taste, no irritation
Perio plus tastes good: thanks to Citrox® and the flavour developed by Givaudan's aroma professionals. What's more, Perio plus doesn't irritate the sense of taste: whether it's orange juice or pizza, everything tastes the way it's supposed to.
Tips against discoloration
During therapy, refrain from tobacco, coffee, black and green tea, red wine, berries, curry, saffron. This keeps discoloration to a minimum. Clean well with a toothbrush, possibly use a whitening toothpaste such as our "Black is white" or the Be you. The discoloration is easily removed by dental professionals.
Caution
Use Perio plus or other CHX irrigations only on the recommendation of your dentist. Normally, you do not need this product, a toothbrush and interdental brush are sufficient. To use, follow the instructions of your dental professional.
