Optive PLUS moisturizes and regenerates the surface of the eye by restoring the osmotic balance (wetting plus "osmoprotection").
Optive PLUS also protects the tear film from evaporation by improving the lipid layer.
Active ingredients: sodium carboxymethylcellulose 0.5%, glycerol 1%, castor oil 0.25%, polysorbate 80 0.5%, levocarnitine, erythritol.
Like Optive, Optive PLUS also contains the preservative PURITE®.
The special feature of the preservative PURITE® is that it breaks down through light into the natural tear components (sodium and chloride, oxygen and water). As a result, Optive and Optive PLUS are preserved in the bottle, but unpreserved on the eye.
Optive PLUS is suitable for patients with moderate to severe forms of dry eye who need additional protection.
